How do I prepare my lashes for my lash extension appointment?

It is strongly recommended that you wash your face/lashes immediately before your appointment.

You are always welcome to use our in-unit restroom and lash cleanser. We ask that you arrive to your lash appointment a few minutes early to do so, so your appointment can start on time.

Any residual eyeliner and/or mascara that is on the lashes will result in a poor bond, and therefore poor retention.

We ask you to avoid make-up and moisturizer around your entire eye area, including under-eyes so the under-eye patches firmly stick to your skin.

If the under-eye patches do not easily stick, or we notice too much makeup on the lashes, we will ask you to sit back up and head to the restroom to wash off the moisturizer/make-up. This will result in a shorter appointment, and therefore fewer lash extensions can be applied.

It is recommended that you do not get your lash lift or lash extensions wet for 24 hours after your appointment. Please plan your shower and workout routine accordingly.

Is there anything I should avoid before my appointment?

Please avoid:

  • Caffeine and pre-workout supplements (or anything that could cause shaky/fluttering eyes)

  • Moisturizer, around your entire eye area, including under-eyes

  • Make up, especially eyeliner or mascara

What should I expect at my lash appointment?

Please arrive to your appointment on time, makeup-free, with a freshly washed face and lashes.

Appointments can last between 45 minutes to 2.5 hours. Wear comfy clothes, bring headphones if you'd like, and make sure to use the restroom before we get started.

Note: Though we welcome chatting throughout your appointment, please be aware that oftentimes, chatting can result in fluttering/watering eyes that can be difficult for us to perform our best work on.

Calm, fully closed, and steady eyes will ensure that the best attachment of the extensions to your natural lash is achieved.

Less talking = More lashes!

What if I get cold during my appointment?

Ask for a blanket! We have several cozy blankets that we alternate in and out of the shop for routine laundry. Or BYOB! Bring your own blanket ☺️

I’m always on the go, it will be so nice to lay down and relax, but I'm afraid I’ll fall asleep. Does anyone ever fall asleep during their appointment?

Yes! In fact, calm, fully closed, and steady eyes will ensure that the best attachment of the extensions to your natural lash is achieved.

Pretty much every client has fallen asleep at one point, if not for the entire length of their appointment. We get it — these appointments can become very relaxing! We encourage you to take the time you set aside for yourself and take a lash nap. This appointment is about YOU, and your self-care. Whether you decide you'd like to listen to a podcast, listen in on a work call, or just pass right out and nap, we are never offended!

What is the lash extension aftercare?

Aftercare instructions are always provided both verbally and visually at the end of your initial appointment.

An instructional postcard is given to you to take home, so you can refer back to the info when and if you need to.

We are always available by phone if you ever have any questions about post-appointment care! Please do not hesitate to reach out to us!

It is recommended that you do not get your lash lift or lash extensions wet for 24 hours after your appointment. Beyond 24 hours, you MUST wash your lashes.

Not washing your lashes can result in eye conditions, such as Blepharitis (inflamed, scaly, red, crusty, and flaky eyelid skin) and/or Demodex Folliculitis (an overgrowth of microscopic parasites found in the follicles of the lashes...aka Lash Mites.)

Where can I buy lash extension cleanser?

Lash extension cleanser is always available for purchase at the shop.
